The sound of an intricate and unpredictable non-sensical cadence of footsteps littered the hollow part of the Konohan foliage's canopy. Wildlife milled around in relative silence on this sweltering day. It always did when the aura of humans could be felt jamming metal into trees and attempting to inflict wounds each other; especially when we tried to wound each other.

He was in my space. I was sweating profusely and my hand was sticking to the hilt of my kodachi. My arms burned from exertion and my thighs ached out of prolonged endurance.

Yet he got closer.

Testing his boundaries. Hair flowing and muscles rippling. He is so beautiful in motion, it almost hurts if you don't constantly stare at him. Like looking anywhere else will blind me or force me to squint in pain. And he knows it. When I am forced to look at him under these conditions, he is able to stare back into my eyes. He can read my emotions. He read them along time ago. I become stuck now, battling through heavy underbrush and scurrying animals, trying to get inside of his defense. I swung my left arm at his abdomen and followed through with an arc from my right hand. His right arm feinted towards my chest, and as I moved to block, he abruptly changed directions and trapped me with his left hand planted next to my face against the training post. My eyes leveled in my feild of vision and locked onto the rapid swallowing motions of his neck as he gulped down air.

My heart thudded in my ears and perspiration rolled down the column of my neck, over my clavicle, and into the dampened crease of my collar.

His whole form neared mine, eyes seeing past my face, looking off to the right of me. "Tenten," he mumbled, breathing hard himself, but looking MUCH more sexy while doing it, "all I have to say is," fanatical daydreams filled my head as of to what he was going to enlighten me to. He was so close to my form at this point his breath fanned across my temporal lobe, his pinkish tapered lips touched the lobe of my ear and he uttered to me, "You need to work on your footing."
